Lifeguards resume assisting swimmers on and guarding Navarre Beach March 9. Two lifeguards will be on duty from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays; four lifeguards will be on duty from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
Lifeguard staffing will increase to 10 or 12 guards as the number of swimmers increase according to a county news release.
“Staff will monitor the number of swimmers at the public Gulf-side beach areas, manning the one to two towers with the greatest need,” read the news release.
Applications for lifeguards are being accepted at http://agency.governmentjobs.com/santarosa/default.cfm.
Applicants must submit documentation showing they have completed lifeguard training, First Aid and CPR.
The seven month lifeguard season ends Sunday, Oct. 27.
